When an episode of post-partum psychosis makes a young mother hallucinate a crying baby, she must face her anxieties around parenthood and her fears of responsibility. She must ultimately decide whether or not to take care of her newborn, with all the difficulties and stress that that entails, or look after a perfect little doll.
